Continuing the Work in Uganda
4 CommentsUPDATE #2: Here’s a photo of the team as they gathered to depart for Uganda on Friday, January 7. Let’s remember to keep them in prayer!

UPDATE #1: We’ve made up a page with photos of most of the 2011 Uganda team (we’ll keep updating it as the rest of the photos come in).
ORIGINAL POST:
A team of Covenant Life members led by singles pastor Isaac Hydoski will travel to western Uganda from January 7 to 19, partnering in gospel ministry with Pastor Moses Nkwatsibwe and the people of Kiburara Gospel Centre Church. The team’s goal is to assist with youth and leadership conferences, gospel outreaches, repair of widows’ homes, and the funding of fresh water wells.
Let’s be praying for the team as they prepare—for good health and grace to draw near to God in the days leading up to the trip.
Pictured below is the team from the January 2010 trip. Elsewhere on this website you’ll find photos, comments from Isaac, and a post describing one couple’s experience as part of that team.

A medical mission team comprised of members from several Sovereign Grace churches will travel to Burma January 13-21. The team includes four members from Covenant Life. They and the rest of the team will be providing medical care in both urban and rural areas to support the work that a recent graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College is doing in Burma.

There will be a drop-off box in the Main Lobby over the next four Sundays (Oct. 24 and 31; Nov. 7 and 14). Please pray for the team serving this week in Mexico. The men pictured above left today; a few other team members departed earlier this week. They are all traveling to Guadalupe to continue work on the Rancho 3M baby home, a project that began in the summer of 2009. Grant Layman is leading the team.
Visit the News section of this website for a list of names and photos of the whole team. There are also a number of posts about previous trips here on the blog.

Medical Mission To Addis Ababa
0 Comments
In 2003 Covenant Life Church partnered with two Ethiopian pastors to plant a church in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This coming March, Covenant Life will once again partner with these men and the church they’ve helped to build; only this time, instead of church planters we will be sending a group of medical personnel.
The area around Covenant Life Church Addis Ababa is marked by poverty and strong occult activity, and we believe that the medical team can provide a great service and have considerable impact for the sake of the gospel. While there will be a few slots for non-medical people, the greatest need is for medical personnel.
The trip runs from March 18-28, 2011, and will cost approximately $2300 per person. If you have a heart for serving in this capacity, please download and complete the two forms below and submit signed hard copies to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) at the church office. The deadline is to apply is Nov 7. Thank you for your interest!

Team from the Trip in March, 2010
UPDATED INFORMATION (posted August 24):
Week #1 of the Missions Trip to Guadalupe, Mexico, is confirmed. A team will definitely be going the week of October 16-23 to continue work on the Rancho 3M baby home. The trip for the second week, October 23-30, is tentative at this time; whether it goes forward depends upon the number of people who respond and other factors. Covenant Life members who have skills in the drywall, insulation or plumbing trades are encouraged to express their desire to participate by e-mailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or calling her at the church office.
Servants from Covenant Life have been working on construction of a baby home at the Rancho 3M Orphanage in Guadalupe since the summer of 2009. The last trip involving construction was in June of this year.
