• That the Lord would raise up pastors who are more passionate about Christ than material success.
• That God would richly bless Michael Oh and his ministry in Japan.

Dr. Russell Moore On Adoption

Join us on Sunday, September 19, as Dr. Russell Moore of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary comes to teach on our adoption as children of God, and our call from God to care for orphans.

Dr. Moore summarizes his upcoming message in this way: “Not every Christian is called to adopt. But every Christian is called to care for widows and orphans in their distress (Jas. 1:27) As we see our own adoption in Christ, we learn to embrace our Father God’s heart for the fatherless. And as we care for the world’s orphans, the more we will see the radical glory of what God has done for us in the gospel.”

Bio
Russell D. Moore is the Senior Vice President for Academic Administration and Dean of the School of Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. The grandson of a Mississippi Baptist preacher, Dr. Moore is also a preaching pastor at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, where he ministers weekly.
