Sovereign Grace Pastors Conference
5 Comments

I’m attending the Sovereign Grace Pastors Conference this week here at Covenant Life, along with Covenant Life’s pastoral team, pastors of Sovereign Grace churches from all over the U.S. and other nations, and many guests. The first session was last night, and the conference runs through Wednesday evening.
Here’s a list of speakers and their message titles:
Monday evening | C.J. Mahaney: The Pastor’s Charge
Tuesday evening | Jeff Purswell: The Pastor’s Teaching
Wednesday morning | Dave Harvey: The Pastor’s Mission | Jared Mellinger: The Pastor’s Legacy
Wednesday evening | C.J. Mahaney: The Pastor’s Leadership
Today’s schedule includes a number of seminars for both men and women with speakers including Mark Dever, Bob Kauflin, Mike Bullmore, Dave Harvey, Jeff Purswell, Carolyn McCulley and Carolyn Mahaney.
I would be grateful for your prayers for the conference. In particular, please pray that God will sustain all those who are speaking and Bob Kauflin as he leads the singing, that every pastor and leader would be refreshed and encouraged, and that the Lord will use all that goes on to advance the gospel around the world.

By Rudy Dolloso Jr. on 04/08/2009I have a friend who is attending the conference. Pastor Glen Melo from the Philippines. I can sense that he is so blessed as he fellowship with all of you there.
By the way, I asked him for your autograph. I’ll be praying for the conference, specially the speakers. May god speak to you all in a very special way.

By Jan on 04/08/2009Dear Covenant Life Church Pastors and Church Family,
I just wanted to drop you a note expressing our gratitude to you for hosting the Sovereign Grace Ministries Pastor’s Conference. I know that it took many hours of volunteers working and planning to host such an event and we just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for the warmth of your hospitality and care. I returned home to preach at our Good Friday service refreshed, cared for and envisioned for the journey ahead and you were the “vehicle,” if you will, that God used to bring many blessings to us and our local church here in Kansas City. As a former PC student, who experienced your care and hospitality on a regular basis several years ago, and as one who has recently received your care, I can only say, thank you and to communicate my affection and appreciation for you. You are an example to follow. Thank you for caring for us, we know it didn’t happen without personal cost and sacrifice on your part. Thank you for serving your local church, loving the Savior and caring for those of us who are part of your “extended family.” We love you.
On behalf of the people of Providence Community Church, Lenexa, KS,
Matthew Hoffman - Pastor
