WednesdayFeb 12012	Soup Kitchen Location: Saint Martin's Church Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM The Lord's Table is a soup kitchen ministry of St. Martin's Church where volunteers from Covenant Life join in preparing and serving food to the needy. Prison Ministry Location: Offsite3 Time: 6:15 PM - 9:15 PM Every Wednesday evening, a dedicated team of men extends friendship, care and compassion to male inmates in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Clarksburg. Men’s Shelter Location: Offsite2 Time: 5:45 PM - 7:00 PM Children and adults prepare meals and serve dinner at the Men's Shelter on Gude Drive in Rockville on the first Wednesday and third Monday of every month. FSP Spelling Bee Competition Location: Edwards Room Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Family Schools Program students in grades 3-8 compete in a multi-round Spelling Bee. This event is the first level that leads up to the Scripps National Spelling Bee that can be seen every year on television. A past finalist at the National level was Covenant Life's own Lance Tang! For details about eligibility in the Spelling Bee, check here. To participate in FSPs Spelling Bee, register online. Come watch this free exciting academic competition; all ages welcome. Business Transition Network Location: Library (131) Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM BTN is a ministry outreach that seeks to assist the unemployed with their job searches. A number of business men and women from Covenant Life serve in monthly meetings to assist with resume reviews, interviewing skills and networking. If you are seeking a job or know of folks who could use this sort of assistance, contact BTN@covlife.org. GAPS Personal Finance Class Location: Edwards Room Time: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM A seminar on biblical principles and practices for financial stewardship. Joe Lee and Mark Donovan will teach on giving, borrowing, budgeting, saving and more. Come be inspired to make changes or set new goals for 2012. Register online. 10:31 Meeting Location: Auditorium Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM For youth, grades 9-12, and their parents, these meetings seek to help shape maturing teens into young adults and equip their parents by providing a context to experience, apply and proclaim the gospel. The 10:31 Youth Ministry is led by Dave Brewer. The Mill for Women Location: Events Center Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM All ladies age 12 and up, bring a friend, bring your own coffee, and come out for a brief time of encouragement, fellowship and prayer.
