Discipleship for Girls (GEMS)

Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior (GEMS) provides a discipleship program created especially for girls and their moms. Girls learn important life skills through badge work, games, crafts, worshipping the Lord and applying biblical teaching to their lives. The success of the program depends on mothers participating actively by spending time with their daughters, as well as serving in other capacities during events. Daughters of single dads are also encouraged to participate, with leadership provided by a “big sister” or by other mothers in the program.

Girls in grades 3-8, alongside their moms, learn more about God through the of study of his Word and world. Each girl begins to understand that she can make a difference in the world by using the gifts and talents that God has given her. Meaningful time developing a mother/daughter relationship is emphasized. GEMS meets twice a month on Monday nights, generally during the second and fourth weeks. Participants must be church members or seeking church membership.
