Choirs

Covenant Life offers a variety of choirs for students in grades 3-12. Singing in choir is an excellent context for growth in musical expression and in devotion to God. Covenant Life School students will continue to participate in choir during the school day and do not need to register for choirs.

The Music Academy Instrumental Ensembles and Choirs will hold a Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 16.

3rd-6th Grade Choir

Students in this choir sing two-part arrangements of both classical and contemporary pieces. We worship the Lord in song and will work together to learn aspects of music theory such as pitch, tone, rhythm and basic solfege.

Fee: $75 per semester
Time: Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Rehearsals begin: Thursday, February 2

7th-12th Grade Choir

This choir provides 7th-12th grade students an opportunity to sing challenging repertoire in three and four parts. We will hold a brief vocal audition during the first class in order to assign parts and provide balance for the choir. We will spend time teaching sight-singing as well as vocal technique.

Fee: $85 per semester
Times: Wednesdays, 3:30-5 p.m.
Rehearsals begin: Wednesday, February 1

Covenant Life School Choirs

Non-CLS students may join a CLS choir for the same fees as our after school choirs. Please e-mail musicacademy@covlife.org for more information.
