Eric McAllister
Eric started singing in youth choirs and musical productions in the Metropolitan Area from a young age. His natural passion for music led him to attend high school at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC where he studied Musical Theater. As an African American Music Major with a Concentration in Voice, Eric participated in and was featured as soloist with several of St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s (SMCM) vocal ensembles. This provided extensive performance opportunities in Maryland and Italy. During his time at SMCM he also served as Musical Director of the SMCM Gospel Choir. After graduating in 2007, he sang with The Washington Chorus for two seasons and continues to work as a Tenor Soloist throughout the Washington Metro Area. Eric currently serves as a Worship and Music Intern with Sovereign Grace Music and Covenant Life Church.
Kristina Johnson | Choir Director
Kristina Johnson grew up singing and playing piano in a small church. She was trained as a classical pianist, but was privileged to serve under a gifted music director at her church who had a vision for raising up the next generation of musicians. So, Kristina learned how to play by ear, work with a worship band and, more importantly, to love others and worship the Lord through music. She has taught piano and has worked with the Covenant Life Choirs for the past seven years as both an accompanist and as a director.
Vikki Cook | Vocal Instructor
Vikki Cook has been a professional studio and live events singer for over 30 years. In that time she has educated soloists, small ensembles, and choirs to sing with better tone and technique, as well as power and passion. Vikki directed all of the choirs, children’s and adult, for Covenant Life Church events from the late 80’s to the late 90’s, and for almost 20 years helped direct the vocalists on Covenant Life’s worship team. She also directed the children’s choirs featured on the last two Sovereign Grace Music children’s worship CD’s, “To Be Like Jesus,” and “Walking With The Wise.”
