Singles Ministry Meeting: May 18

How often do you stop and think carefully about why you live the way you do?  When is the last time you considered why you read the Bible, pray, tell others about Jesus, or attend church?  If someone interrupted you while you were busy and asked, “Why do you do the things you do?” What would you say?  What’s the first answer that comes to mind?

Answering this question is the reason we’re meeting together as a ministry, on Friday, May 18.  As your pastors, we want you to be reminded of why we all live, act, and believe the way we do.  To see and comprehend the greatness of our God.  To be reminded of the beauty and splendor of who He is.  And to behold Him for who He reveals Himself to be in the Word, and respond like Ezekiel:

“And I looked, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the temple of the LORD. And I fell on my face.” (Ezekiel 44:4 ESV)

We believe that beholding our God for who he is, is the only sustaining and joy producing motive for the sacrifice, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism and daily discipline of the Christian life that we are called to pursue.  We want you to join us in beholding our God so we can worship him, love him and recall how glorious and worthy he is of our all. 

During our time together we’ll sing songs that help us behold the God of our salvation and learn from Scripture to remind us that the focus of all our Christian living is the worship of the one true God. 

We hope you will join us Friday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the main auditorium. And think about who you can bring along to behold the God of the gospel with us.

CovLife members, John Ripley and his wife, Lindsey, have started a Christ-honoring Outdoor Recreation group in an effort to bring Christians together, build friendships and enjoy our God and the outdoors.

Ripley’s Ventures is the group name, and it’s primarily for anyone passionate about God and the outdoors. Group ventures include caving, hiking, camping and more. Non-Christians and all skill levels are welcome. Check out the group and its upcoming activities on Facebook and Meetup.

Women’s Seminar for Single Ladies

The women’s ministry of Covenant Life Church has crafted a special seminar specifically for single ladies.  Charlotte Ennis will be leading on the topic of “Walking with God as a Single Woman”.  Ladies, if you could please make this a priority to attend, we’re sure that God will meet each of you in a special way.
