Communion with God is the greatest good our Father gives to his redeemed. God created mankind for communion with him. When our first father, Adam, introduced sin into the world, he shattered man's ability to commune with God, but mercifully, this ability was not destroyed. Jesus restored communion with God through his death on the cross. If a Christian does not cultivate this gift of communion, he becomes more susceptible to believing the lies of the world, our flesh, and the devil. We commune with God through his Spirit by meeting with him in the Word and in prayer.
