Jesus According to Scripture by Darrell L. Bock
Fabricating Jesus: How Modern Scholars Distort the Gospels by Craig A. Evans
Of the roughly two billion people in the world who identify themselves as Christians, though there are differences, virtually all would say that Jesus Christ is central to their faith. Without the life, teaching, and mighty works of Jesus of Nazareth, there would be no Christianity, no Christian religion, no church.
Since May 2012 we’ve been working our way carefully through Matthew’s Gospel, surveying the beginnings of the Christian faith and taking an extended look at the amazing person of Jesus. The series continues into 2014! Let’s pray that God will use every message to help us see him with fresh perspective and faith.
