The Nations
Are Here

One-third of the county’s current residents were born outside the United States. And, among the 156,000 students enrolled in its public schools, 138 distinct languages from 157 countries are spoken at home.

We thank God for the diversity of our county and continue to pray for strong and healthy relationships across ethnic and cultural divides. We also pray for immigrants who are struggling to adjust here and more who will come in the days ahead—that they would be able to find jobs and housing quickly and become established.

As God continues to bring the nations to Montgomery County, our desire is that of the Psalmist:

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
    for you judge the peoples with equity
    and guide the nations upon earth. Selah
Let the peoples praise you, O God;
    let all the peoples praise you!
—Psalm 67:4-5
