Tomorrow: Back to Proverbs 3

Two weeks ago we learned from Proverbs 3:5-6 about trusting in the Lord with all our hearts. Tomorrow we’re going to study the rest of that section in Proverbs 3, considering how we can practice trusting God.

We also have our third church picnic tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who has been coming out for these. We’re going to have hot dogs and games again. And we’re going to have lots of chairs in both lobbies so you can escape the heat while enjoying fellowship. See you there!

Boy did I need this message today.  I’ve been a member of CLC for over a year now, and I had recently started thinking “I’m a Christian now so when do I actually stop sinning?  I don’t want to default back to condemnation, I’ve come too far for that, but can I still get into Heaven if that road is narrow?”  Josh’s message came at a good time.  He has a way of lifting you up, sitting you down, and then standing you back up so you can keep going!  I cried through the whole message because I sometimes feel like a mess - my mouth gets me into trouble, and then I feel like I am better off (or have a better attitude) than most.  At the end it it a continuous effort to “practice” the word that is in front of us.  And stay away from the bean bag ... =)
Thanks Josh!
