Fall 2023 Sunday Classes

Sunday Classes help us go deeper into theology, cultural issues, and practical Christian living.

All around us, cultural pressure is increasing and theological literacy is declining. There is increasing confusion and dysfunction. As a result, we believe that an hour of worship and preaching is no longer enough to fully equip the church for its calling in this age. Sunday Classes will help us go deeper into theology, cultural issues, and practical Christian living.

1. Rooted: A Study of the Westminster Confession of Faith

Register–Rooted

The Westminster Confession of Faith is a consensus theological document (it’s not just the thought of one man, but the distillation of the work of 120) teaching us who God is and what He has done. All true theology leads to doxology. In other words, this study will help us to worship God in Spirit and truth—the reason we were created!

2. Union with Christ

The New Testament uses the phrase “in Christ” (or equivalent) to describe believers over 160 times. In this class we’ll explore how union with Christ is central to the salvation that we have in Jesus. We'll see how it profoundly shapes and practically affects:

  • Our identity – who am I?

  • Our horizon – where am I headed?

  • Our purpose – what am I here for?

  • Our future – what can I hope for?

How do I steward my singleness for the glory of God? How do I pursue marriage in a healthy way? What is God up to in my life during this season? The Bible is not silent on these issues. In this class we will sort through cultural lies and orient ourselves to a vision of growing in grace while single, dating, or engaged. Join us if you are in one of those stages, if you want to talk to your kids about those topics, or want to love your single brothers and sisters well.
