"Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills for Life and Ministry"

The Care and Counseling Team is finally set to officially launch our ministry expansion. This has been a long time coming! We are excited to announce our first church-wide training and workshop:

"Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills for Life and Ministry"

Saturday, May 5, 1-4:30 PM

This event is open to the entire church. We know that pastors have a role in caring for the flock as undershepherds, and so do skilled and experienced caregivers and outside professionals. Yet we also have a role in caring for one another...and we can all learn to care for one another well!

Kim Sutter, a licensed therapist and biblical counselor with more than 30 years of experience caring for people, will be training us in basic listening skills.

By learning and applying these basic listening skills, you can become a better friend. You'll probably become a better spouse, parent, son or daughter, small group leader, neighbor, co-worker...I could go on. I have been using these skills for over 30 years and have found them to be helpful in relating with people regardless of their circumstance in life.

Our vision is that Covenant Life Church be known for caring for others well. While we recognize that not every church member is completely equipped to help in every situation, we do believe that the people of God, filled with the Spirit of God, can offer biblical care and counsel to one another in humility and with grace.
