Spring 2026 Sunday Classes

Sunday Classes help us go deeper into theology, cultural issues, and practical Christian living.

All around us, cultural pressure is increasing and theological literacy is declining. There is increasing confusion and dysfunction. As a result, we believe that an hour of worship and preaching is no longer enough to fully equip the church for its calling in this age. Sunday Classes will help us go deeper into theology, cultural issues, and practical Christian living.

2. What is Reformed Theology?

Sign up–WHAT IS REFORMED THEOLOGY?

It's important to realize that we are all theologians in the sense that we're trying to understand the Bible's teachings so that we might live lives that please God. It's been said that we will not serve someone we do not love, and we cannot love someone we do not know. Our prayer is that through our study together we will grow in knowledge, love and service to our gracious and merciful God. In this class we will explore the foundational doctrines that emerged from the Protestant Reformation. We will begin by centering on the God of glory who is revealed in Scripture, the person and work of Jesus Christ and the application of His work in our lives by the Holy Spirit. We will utilize the famous T.U.L.I.P. acronym to begin to understand how these doctrines fit together.

3. Intro to Cultural Apologetics

Sign up –cultural apologetics

We live in a time where Christians cannot assume that our neighbors share a familiar view of the Bible. We often might find that people are either antagonistic, apathetic, or curious about the Bible and Christianity.  This course will focus on seeing how Scripture addresses the longing for beauty, purpose, goodness that people seek out of life. This course will provide an introduction to cultural apologetics, look into providing biblical foundations for common objections to the faith, and illustrate a framework to engage with culture. This course will be lecture format with an allotted time for questions and answers.

This class is a hybrid, combining an in-depth study of Scripture with elements of a Family Life class. Each week will include an exegesis of a brief section of Ephesians; with illustrations, insights, and applications that relate to the family.

This class is designed for a wide audience:

  • It is designed for parents, explaining how the whole book can help them cultivate godly parenting and not just the small section that specifically addresses them (Eph.6:1-4).

  • It is designed for teens, explaining God’s plan for our earthly families, as well as His plan for His

  • heavenly family.

  • It is designed for all Christians, explaining how most of the truths that can be applied to earthly families can also be applied to the family of God.

Sisters, dive deep into the book of Jonah with us and discover much, much more than a big storm and an enormous fish. As our study guide puts it, Jonah is the story of "God's relentless grace." By spending ten weeks in just four short chapters of scripture, we'll explore "how God works out his purposes and how nothing can thwart his determination to save. Jonah's story is ultimately the story of Jesus and all believers as they learn to trust God and submit to his revealed word (Lydia Brownback)." Class format includes some Bible study instruction but focuses on small group discussion. Weekly homework is encouraged.
