Get Your Go Grant

Seed Money for Outreach

Issue:

Author: Drew Garfield

Have fresh ideas for loving and serving people in our community? The Local Missions Committee wants to help you explore compelling new opportunities.

You can buy quite a lot of things with $113,277. In particular, you can buy a lot of video games. Thanks to a grant from the United States government, this is how much money the International Center for the History of Electronic Games received in order “to conduct a detailed conservation survey of video games.” If you are a “gamer” you can be happy to know that your tax dollars are hard at work for you!

The Local Missions Committee may have a lot less money than the federal government but it has an infinitely better cause. It recently designated $2,500 of its annual budget for “Go Grants” designed to help Covenant Life members fund new outreach initiatives in our community.

Do you have a burden to help refugees or human trafficking victims? Do you have passion for reaching out to your fellow classmates at school? Do you see the overlooked and hurting in our community and want to come alongside them in love?

The Local Missions Committee wants to invest in member initiatives. If you have a compelling new idea for reaching or serving our community, let us know by downloading and completing a “Go Grant” application.
