Why I Don’t Evangelize

Maybe you clicked on this section because the title was slightly provocative. You can relate to a person who doesn’t evangelize. Maybe you are curious to see if the author’s reasons are the same as yours. For many of us, the very thought of evangelism can fill us with fear and guilt. But Jesus has something better for us! We pray that the Holy Spirit will use these short blog posts to help uncover and dig up the deep-rooted things that keep us from sharing the good news of Jesus with others.

Missions Weekend (May 13-15)

Our first-ever Missions Weekend will give Covenant Life members of all ages lots of opportunities to:

  • Celebrate what God is doing locally and globally through our church and other
  • Pray for the gospel’s advance here in our own community and to the ends of the earth
  • Learn how to cross cultures and build relationships with international neighbors living in Montgomery County
  • Involve the whole family in hands-on workshops (including programs designed just for kids)
  • Give financially to support various initiatives through our Missions Offering
  • Explore opportunities to get involved in local/global outreach

Cross-Cultural Training Seminars (April 9, May 7)

Required for all short-term trip participants (but open to all church members), these half-day training sessions will equip you to cross cultures as a guest, learner, and servant. Register here.

Gaithersburg “Engage the Nations” (June 22-25)

This three-day practicum led by trainers from Global Gates is designed to encourage, inspire, and equip believers to share the gospel with local internationals from unreached people groups or nations. (Registration fee: $100)
