Week of Prayer

As we journey through the book of 1 Timothy together, we’re asking God to help us be the kind of church his Word calls us to be.

First up, we’re called to pray. “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people…” (1 Timothy 2:1)

In light of this calling, we’ve set aside next week, September 29 through October 4, to pray as a church family. We’re focusing our prayer around Jesus’ command in Matthew 9:38: “Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Here are three ways you can get involved.

  • Use the daily guide for prayer privately, with your family, or your small group. Download Daily Guide
  • Come to the Spurgeon Room any day between 6 AM and 10 PM to pray. We’ve created a quiet, comforable environment where you can get away from other distractions for prayer. There will also be pictures, prayer lists, and other information avaiable to help guide you in prayer. Make it a goal to stop by at least one time during the week.
  • Join us on Friday evening from 7-8:30 PM in the Events Center for a time of corporate worship and prayer.
