Depression is challenging for many of us and we experience depression in a variety of ways. Even in the Bible we see people of faith dealing with depression. The psalmist in Psalm 88 is one such believer. How does this what seems like a hopeless prayer give us hope?

Understanding mental health is difficult due to the various definitions that we have. We’ll define mental health and see how scripture points us to Christ for hope in the midst of hardship.
Jesus is the provider who supplies my needs and the Savior who suffers and dies for me.
When Jesus sends out the twelve to proclaim the kingdom of God, they shift from being learners to proclaimers and his instructions to them sharpen the functions of gospel ministry.
The gospel is the majestic unfolding story of God’s grace, and the heart of that story is Jesus. He ought to forever be the substance of our proclamation, source of our motivation, and the fuel of our adoration. This gospel is central when it shapes, guides, and leads the way we live every day of the Christian life.
